It is really hard to separate generosity and gratitude from each other. I am filled with deep gratitude for the generosity of our Consecration Sunday team: Glen & Cindy Barnhill, Mary Ann Brown, Vanessa Farmer, Vicki Hand, Julie Hudgens, Penny Jones, James Leo, Kelli Merritt, Karen Pyle, Bonnie Sandberg and Florence Snyder; for all that they did to create such a joyful experience. Each team member gave of their time and talent to share with us in worship, make phone calls and help in so many different ways that no one shouldered anything alone. Thank you.
I can honestly say that I have never been part of a more joyful stewardship program in large part to the work of these individuals. I would like to also thank everyone who came to worship and lunch on September 27. We had 32 pledge cards turned in and $151,956. This is an increase in the number of pledge cards as well as amount pledged. I look forward to seeing what God will continue to do in and through us.
As we continue to look to our future, we are also called to remember who we were. On Sunday, November 1 we will celebrate All Saints Sunday. As we did last year, we will read the names of the Saints from our congregation that have died since last year. There will also be an opportunity for us to come forward and light candles in memories of the saints in our lives who have gone on before us in faith, regardless of the year that they died. When we celebrate communion we say that join with your people on earth and all the company of heaven as we sing praises to God. All Saints Sunday is a day that I look forward to all year long.

United Women in Faith
The weekend of September 25th and 26th was our annual Fall Meeting in Lakeview. Four of us were able to attend and we listened to great speakers, sang and ate together, and came home rejuvenated. Women’s Hygiene Kits were collected and Friendship took one kit and the money to fund 25 additional kits. They were delivered to the Mission Center in Conroe, and will go to help women and girls here in Texas.
We have a circle meeting on Wednesday, October 7 in the FLC. We will also have a business meeting on Saturday, October 10. During that important meeting we will collect our annual Thank Offerings, elect officers for next year, and vote on recipients for our Special Mission Recognition pins for 2026.

Children's Ministry
October begins with a Family Movie Night! On October 4 at 5pm, we will be watching, “The Sandlot” together. Everyone is welcome to join us!
The end of the month brings spooky fun with our annual Costume and Pumpkin Carving Contest. Bring a pumpkin (or two), tools and a dish to share on Wednesday, October 28 at 6pm.
Next month, we will start off with a Family Day at the Park on November 8 at 12:30pm at the Jesse Jones Park in Humble. We will have activities for the kids to enjoy while everyone joins together to have lunch (please bring a sack lunch for your family).
We are nearing the holiday season, so stay tuned for more exciting things to come!
As always, please join us for Sunday School at 9am, Children's Church during worship (after we start in the sanctuary at 10am), and Bible Study on Wednesday nights after our 6pm Family Potluck Dinner!
